Theme blooms
You probably have a theme in mind for your wedding. This should help you narrow down your choice for the flowers. If you are going in for a traditional theme, roses and lilies are a popular choice.
Or you might be going in for a color theme. Not so natural combinations available on the market are expensive. In that case, you can easily find flowers that naturally grow in the combinations you might want well within your budget.
But if you're looking to be authentic in your theme, you may find that the right flowers are difficult to find, though not impossible.
Seasonally speaking
Going for the in-season flowers on your wedding day makes your job easier. In summers and warmer months, bright blooms are easy to find, while the winters or cooler climate brings the in more resilient varieties like chrysanthemums.
Speak with your florist to find out what you can get on your wedding date. Choose from the local seasonal flowers you can get during your wedding. Seasonal flowers are less expensive than those that you might have to fly in for warmer climes on order.
Complicating it all
More is not merrier in this case! too many flowers can look fussy and can cause problems. It might just be best to pick one main flower and add complementary fillers around them. The fillers need not be flowers, by the way. You could always try palm fronds, ferns or other green foliage.
Fresh flowers are always more appealing but if you don't want to be too extravagant, silk flowers can work just as well. Silk rose petals can be sprinkled on all the tables and centerpieces can be gifted to relatives.
